Shaun Usher is a writer, editor, and collector of remarkable words. He is the creator of Letters of Note, the internationally bestselling project that began as a blog and evolved into a celebrated series of books, as well as Letters Live, the acclaimed live event he has co-produced since 2013.

To date, Shaun has published sixteen books, exploring themes that range from love and grief to music, dogs, and outer space. In October 2025, he will publish his seventeenth book, Diaries of Note: 366 Lives, One Day at a Time, a curated journey through a year of extraordinary diary entries drawn from history.

Through his work, Shaun has brought forgotten voices and personal stories to new audiences around the world, establishing a distinctive place at the intersection of literature, history, and human experience.

He lives in Manchester with his wife, Karina, and their three children.
