Event Overview
Following last year’s launch, the Chelsea Arts Festival returns in September 2026 for its second edition, a four-day celebration of modern storytelling in the heart of London.
Showcasing Chelsea’s rich literary heritage and its ongoing role in the capital’s cultural life, the festival brings together a wide range of artists and creative practitioners working across page, stage and screen. An ambitious and varied programme spans music, theatre, dance and film, alongside podcasting, literature and the visual arts, reflecting the breadth of contemporary creative practice.
Partnering with Cadogan, the festival’s main programme unfolds across Chelsea’s landmark cultural institutions, including Cadogan Hall, Saatchi Gallery and the Royal Court Theatre. These iconic venues host a series of accessibly priced ticketed events designed to welcome both established audiences and first-time festival-goers.
Beyond theatres and galleries, Chelsea’s streets come alive with free outdoor performances across King’s Road, Duke of York Square, Sloane Street and Sloane Square, creating moments of connection and discovery throughout the neighbourhood.
At its core, the Chelsea Arts Festival is as much a celebration of community as it is of culture. Working closely with local residents and businesses, the festival supports emerging talent and encourages wider participation in the arts, leaving a positive and lasting legacy.
Sustainability underpins all festival activity. Through robust procedures and responsible planning, the Chelsea Arts Festival aligns with Cadogan’s 2030 Net Zero Pledge, ensuring cultural celebration and environmental responsibility go hand in hand.
