Dr Dave Musgrove is Content Director for HistoryExtra, the magazine and podcast from BBC History Magazine, where he brings history to life for audiences through engaging stories, expert interviews and accessible discussion.

A historian and broadcaster, Dave has a particular interest in making the past relevant and compelling to modern audiences. He is also the co-author, with Michael Lewis, of The Story of the Bayeux Tapestry, exploring one of the world’s most famous historical artefacts and the extraordinary story it tells of the Norman Conquest.

Through his work across publishing, podcasting and broadcasting, Dave regularly shares his expertise on a wide range of historical subjects and is passionate about encouraging people to look at familiar stories from new perspectives.
