Kathryn Hughes

Kathryn Hughes is the author of George Eliot: The Last Victorian which won the James Tait Black Award.  Kathryn is a long-time literary critic at the Guardian, specialising in nineteenth century biography, and is also Professor Emerita of Life Writing at the University of East Anglia. She has presented documentaries on George Eliot for BBC Radio 4 and BBC 2 television.
