David Byrne

David Byrne has been the Artistic Director of the Royal Court since January 2024, previous to which he was Artistic Director of New Diorama Theatre 2010 – 2023. Known for his innovative and ground-breaking approach to working with artists, he has supported thousands of playwrights, theatre-makers and artists over his career. David Byrne is also a playwright whose own plays have been performed across the UK and around the world, winning multiple Off-West End awards.
