Blue Plaques Talk Back

Join us for an extraordinary morning celebrating Chelsea’s rich and radical cultural heritage, at Cadogan Hall.  We are delighted to announce beloved actor, author and comedian Sir Stephen Fry, award-winning news correspondent, journalist and author Lyse Doucet OBE, and celebrated photographer Dennis Morris will join us on stage for this special event, with more guest speakers to be announced soon.  This unique theatrical experience brings together the art of storytelling with historical insight, as acclaimed actors and experts breathe life into the remarkable stories behind Chelsea’s most iconic Blue Plaques.

The luminaries being celebrated are reggae legend Bob Marley, Irish author, poet, and playwright Oscar Wilde, novelist and poet George Eliot and war correspondent and author Martha Gellhorn.

Each segment of this Chelsea Arts Festival Blue Plaques Talk Back event will feature vivid, intimate portraits of the extraordinary individuals who once called Chelsea home. These compelling dramatisations will be followed by in depth discussions delving deeper into each Blue Plaque story.
