Rupert Everett is an actor, writer, and director. His screen credits include Napoleon, My Policeman, Adult Material, The Serpent Queen, Funny Woman, An Ideal Husband, and My Best Friend’s Wedding. His theatrical portfolio features Another Country, The Vortex, Pygmalion, Amadeus, and The Judas Kiss.

His debut autobiography, Red Carpets and other Banana Skins, achieved Sunday Times bestseller status, whilst the follow-up volume Vanished Years earned the Sheridan Morley biography prize. His documentary programme Love for Sale received the Grierson award and his film The Happy Prince, chronicling Oscar Wilde’s final period, garnered widespread critical praise upon its 2018 release.

His latest book, The American No, published towards the end of 2024 is a superbly entertaining, humorous, and touching anthology of stories that mines the rich vein of cinematic and television concepts that Rupert Everett has developed throughout his distinguished career.
