George Monbiot works as a writer, Guardian contributor, and environmental activist. Highly acclaimed publications of his include Feral: Rewilding the Land, Sea and Human Life and Heat: How We Can Stop the Planet Burning, with his most recent work being Regenesis: Feeding the World without Devouring the Planet.

George Monbiot collaborated with musician Ewan McLennan on the concept album Breaking the Spell of Loneliness and has produced several widely-shared videos. One of these viral videos, adapted from his 2013 TED presentation, How Wolves Change Rivers, has attracted over 40 million YouTube views. His co-presentation with Greta Thunberg on Natural Climate Solutions has hit over 60 million views.

For Chelsea Arts Festival, George Monbiot will join novelist Ian McEwan for an exploration of humanity’s remarkable resilience and an expedition through a climate-altered Britain where hope persists – as they celebrate the launch of McEwan’s forthcoming novel, What We Can Know.
