Dame Zandra Rhodes is as a British fashion and textile designer celebrated for her vibrant, hand-illustrated patterns and her distinctive personal aesthetic. Following her graduation in 1964 from the RCA with an MA in Printed Textiles, Rhodes transformed the fashion landscape by establishing her legendary label, creating five decades of revolutionary collections, styling musical (and actual) royalty, and founding London’s Fashion and Textile Museum.
Her sartorial creations are held in distinguished museums worldwide. In 2020, she launched the Zandra Rhodes Foundation to safeguard her legacy and make her extensive archives accessible as educational resources for present and future fashion and textiles students. Rhodes maintains her practice at her London studio, concentrating on cataloguing her the enormous output of her decades-long career whilst developing fresh projects with prominent fashion and lifestyle companies. Her autobiography, ICONIC: My Life in Fashion in 50 Objects, was recently released in which she reflects on her life and her work. The paperback will be published on 12/06/25.
